I’m actually kind of surprised. I’m way ahead on on To Do list so I’m taking a few moments to write an impromptu blog post.
Last night I felt like there was still so much to do, but now it’s 1 p.m., looking around and realizing that I have accomplished pretty much everything I had to do before we hit the road at 6. There’s some minor cleaning left, but nothing that can’t be done in an hour or so.
While most people were enjoying cookouts and friends poolside this holiday weekend, I was frantically cleaning my apartment, finishing tissue paper poms, crocheted flowers and anything else that had to get done before our wedding.
Chuck was equally busy has he mixed all of the music for our reception. He finished last night and we imported all of the music onto my computer for transport to NY. We set up the amps, speakers and mic for a test run and I have to say that technically speaking, our music will be fine. I’m rocking out to our playlist now listening for any obvious glitches.
We made the last minute decision to purchase a Flip, even though they’re obsolete. We got it to take some video on the honeymoon, but I’m looking forward to using it to document some of our wedding preparation craziness.
I’m also pretty impressed with my packing skills. I fit everything I need for NY and Italy in one carry-on size suitcase. And yes, I did bring clothes. This isn’t one of those naked-except-for-a-bikini honeymoons. Since we’ll be near and seeing family, we do have access to a washing machine if necessary, but I definitely brought enough clothing for the entire week. Chuck’s parents were nice enough to buy us some new luggage since ours is, well, broken. Chuck can’t even roll his and pieces of the frame shatter every time one of those baggage guys throws it around. So we are very thankful for our grown-up luggage.
I’ll try to upload some pictures here and there just for fun, but if I can’t, I’ll see you in two weeks as a married woman.
